T. Deon Warner (Of Counsel) earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics form the University of Colorade, Boulder, Colorado, in 1981. He earned his Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law in 1984. While attending Howard University, he served as Assistant Editor of the Howard Law Journal and graduated 19th in his class.

Deon served as a law clerk in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas for the Honorable Gabrielle K. McDonald from 1984 to 1986. He began his legal career in 1986 with the law firm of Andrews & Kurth L.L.P. in Houston, Texas, where he was a partner from 1992 to 1997. Thereafter, he started his own firm. Deon served on the Texas State Securities Board from 1991 to 1997 and served as chairman of the Board from 1995 to 1997.

Deon’s practice focuses primarily in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation and Blue Sky laws. Since 1989, he has given numerous speeches and lectures on securities law and corporate formation and has served as an adjunct law professor on such topics. He also advises on various fiduciary, political and ethics issues.

Deon is admitted to practice in Texas and in Colorado.
